学生への講義（その１） --- My talk on thoracic and neuroanesthesia

留学後初めてだから 2009 年以来ということになるのだが、３年ぶりに医学科の学生への講義を担当した。

今日は「呼吸器外科、脳神経外科の麻酔」というタイトルで、最初の50分間は呼吸器外科の麻酔について、残りの30分間は脳神経外科の麻酔についてしゃべった。

講義が終わってから４、５人の学生から質問を受けたのだが、最も多い質問が「高濃度の酸素を投与するとなぜ無気肺ができやすくなるのか」というものだった。
学生が学ぶ範囲ではないと思って省略してしまったのだが、優秀な学生はそのあたりが気になるものらしい。

他には、「ダブルルーメンチューブと気管支ブロッカーをどのように使い分けるのか」とか、「無気肺ができやすいとわかりつつ、なぜ一側肺換気では高濃度酸素を投与するのか」とか、いろいろと臨床上重要な質問を受けた。

学生の出席率は必ずしも高くはないのだが、熱心な学生が少なくないことがわかり、また次回もがんばろうと思う。

I gave a lecture on thoracic and neuroanesthesia to the medical students of our university.

It was my first lecture to our students after I came back from north America.

Although some students skipped the class, some students were zealous and asked me some questions including how atelectasis is created by the administration of high inspired oxygen concentration, which I felt were clinically very important.
